Who we build for
Municipalities, electric co-ops, cable operators and carriers get the same four disciplines from Waldron, as prime or as a specialty subcontractor.
| Market | Scope |
|---|---|
| Municipal & public agency broadband | City and county networks, public safety fiber, traffic and ITS conduit, and institutional connectivity. Designed and permitted in house, then built, spliced and documented by Waldron-managed crews. |
| Electric membership cooperatives | Fiber across a service territory that was laid out for electricity: make-ready on your own poles, long rural runs, and plant that has to be maintainable by a co-op crew years from now. |
| Cable operators & MSOs | The coaxial half of this business is the half we started with in 1982. Hardline splicing, node splits, fiber deep and plant maintenance, from a contractor who never stopped doing coax. |
| Carriers, ISPs & wholesale fiber | Backbone, middle mile and last mile: route engineered, placed, spliced, tested and documented to the standard your NOC and your engineering group will hold it to. |
Common questions
Common questions.
Who does Waldron Communications work for?
Municipalities and public agencies, electric membership cooperatives, cable operators and MSOs, and carriers, ISPs and wholesale fiber providers, plus general contractors needing an outside plant subcontractor that engineers in house.
Does Waldron work as a prime contractor or a subcontractor?
Both. Waldron carries complete outside plant scope as prime under contract with the owner, and also runs as a specialty subcontractor on larger civil and utility programs.
What geography does Waldron cover?
Engineering and fielding cover Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Construction, maintenance and splicing run within about 200 miles of Marietta, Georgia, a day’s drive. Any service, anywhere in the continental US, is considered case by case for the right project.
