Outside plant since 1982.

Waldron Communications has built and maintained the physical layer of Southeastern networks since 1982: engineering in house, with construction, splicing and maintenance by crews we manage.

Who we are

Outside plant is all we do, and has been since 1982.

Waldron Communications is an outside plant contractor based at 2497 Canton Road in Marietta, Georgia. Waldron started in 1982 splicing coax for cable operators, and has run continuously under the same name and out of the same county ever since.

Since 1982, Waldron has done every step of OSP work itself, from fielding and engineering to permitting and construction. Today engineering stays in house, and the field work runs through crews we manage.

Today we work for municipalities, electric cooperatives, cable operators and carriers across the Southeast, as a subcontractor to primes and engineering firms and as prime contractor for owners.

We engineer in house and manage the crews for the full scope of work, including fielding, route design, make-ready, permitting, aerial and underground placement, directional boring, splicing, testing, turn-up, as-built documentation, and ongoing maintenance.

Waldron is Tier 1 Katapult Certified and Fiber Certified, and every fielding job passes a quality-control review before handoff.

Because every phase runs inside Waldron, the owner has one company to call about schedule or quality.
